Banking

This week mainly revolved around banking. This week was highly important as it teaches us valuable life skills that we will use later on in life. We learned how to write checks, how to mail checks, and how to write a check register. It was actually pretty fun to handle all the 'money' and do real-life transactions such as checks and stores and dealing with the hardships of not having enough money to pay off bills. It'll be interesting to see how the semester continues, and how everyone fares with their own money and problems.

  1. I've had fun too handling all the money and learning how checking and banking works in a more exciting way. Though it's gonna be hard when I run out of money next week, and won't be able to pay my bills haha.

  2. I totally agree that this week has been, in my opinion, the most valuable week so far of econ. We can use the skills from class for the rest of our lives, I know personally that I had no idea we would need to keep a log of all the deposits and withdrawals for our account. While I think that it is fun in class, it makes me a little scared about the responsibility we will have in the future. I am certainly grateful though that we learned all this before it becomes real.

  3. I think that as the semester goes on, we will definitely see who can and cannot handle a budget. A lot of bills have been coming in, and we get paid this week. Hopefully all will go well!
