Credit Reports and Scores

This week has been about credit, and has been vitally important. We learned about the different types of credit, and how the credit report can document basically everything from high school on. We learned it is very important to make the right decision early on in life to prevent decreases in credit score later on. This credit score will affect many things a person do later on in life, such as getting loans from banks, buying a car and starting a job. The ideal credit score is Very Good or Excellent. A bad credit score will prevent you from getting basically everything. I'm actually glad this class is required, as it really teaches us important information to know later on in life.

  1. True, without this class I would probably have even less of an idea of what I am doing compared to when I was looking at potential investments in stocks.

  2. This class is very helpful and practical for real life situations. If I had not taken this class I would not have known anything about a credit score and how it is measured. This class helps us to be financially prepared for life.

  3. I think that your cartoon once again illustrates what we learned perfectly. The importance of making the right decisions early on cannot be understated. Your credit report contains all of your credit history and no matter how much you try to create a better report in the future, you cannot erase the past. Mrs. Weser is a prime example of how it is a struggle to rebuild good credit and people need to realize as soon as possible how important good credit is.

  5. I'm also glad that this class is required! It is really helpful for our future. I didn't know that the credit score exists in our life and it affects us so much ); It is important to keep checking your credit report and credit score at least yearly, when you once get loans, credit cards, etc. And again, it is really important to pay money back on time!
